Let’s Roll Jiu-Jitsu

Jiu-jitsu—Isn’t it great?
A day, a month, a year.
As we steadily stack up time,
Let’s Roll Jiu-Jitsu is also growing together with many of our members.

Jiu-jitsu is…
It seems like it would be too hard for me.
Combat sports don’t suit me.
You might think that.

In fact, because combat sports have a certain toughness to them,
some people who are just starting out
end up feeling put off and leaving the gym
due to the rough feel of grappling.

But
if you let go of the urge to become strong right away, and the desire to get good too fast,
and set your early goals as “Just show up consistently three times a week!” or “Keep it going even if it’s only twice a week!”,
and simply keep attending class,
then at some point, that “rough” feeling
will turn into “familiarity.”

Even after just three months,
you’ll suddenly find yourself
sweating happily.

Am I really improving just by taking classes?
Am I actually getting a proper workout?
Am I losing weight?
You might have questions like these.

I can guarantee it:
compared to the past version of you who first stepped onto the mat,
you can say you’ve become at least twice as strong.
And

with any kind of exercise, in about three months
you might not see a huge visible change in your appearance,
but your body is definitely changing.
Your muscle mass increases, and body fat gradually decreases.

If you want to show results a bit faster,
we recommend adding about
15 minutes of simple weight training after class.

However, if instead of “moderately,” motivation takes over
and you push yourself too hard,
in the intense daily life of modern people,
muscle soreness
can actually get in the way.

Some people enjoy the pain of muscle soreness,
but for those experiencing it for the first time, it can feel scary.
Because it affects everyday life.

So
after class, we guide you so you can freely choose your training intensity,
but we don’t recommend starting with an intensity that’s too high.

For the first three months,
focus on class,
cool your body down 충분히,
and finish with light bodyweight exercises—
that’s the most appropriate approach,
and in our view, the fastest way
to reach the goals you want.

Whether you’re older or younger,

whether you have lots of experience or none,

on the mat, if you focus on just one thing—“jiu-jitsu”—

and work up a sweat,

at some point,
the stress of everyday life will flutter away,
and you’ll gain a new lifestyle—
I’m sure of it.

At Let’s Roll Jiu-Jitsu,
we have many athletes with great careers,
but we also have many members
who train seriously alongside them.

During the day, the competition team trains seriously,

and in the evening general classes and weekend classes,
we create a fun atmosphere
together with our members.

Our members, as great partners,
sweat together to help our athletes achieve great results,
and friends who want to pursue a career as professional jiu-jitsu athletes
also respect our members’ goals, being considerate of each other
while sweating together.

Among beginners,
some people feel burdened because there are so many colored belts,

but the colored-belt members at Let’s Roll Jiu-Jitsu
are considerate of beginners,
and if you have the will and passion to try,
they’ll often train with you even more enthusiastically.

I think the era when jiu-jitsu feels like only a “new workout”
has passed.

There’s now a pretty good chance
that you have someone around you who has tried jiu-jitsu at least once.

At Let’s Roll Jiu-Jitsu too,
more than complete first-timers,
we’re getting many visitors
who trained jiu-jitsu elsewhere and then came to us.

That means
people who are more serious about jiu-jitsu
are gathering at Let’s Roll Jiu-Jitsu.

That said, the classes themselves aren’t overly stiff or heavy.
Fun and helpful—
with our core rule of “Let’s sweat it out today,”
we run the gym.

We’ll do our very best to fully meet the needs
of everyone who comes to learn jiu-jitsu.
Come visit us with confidence!
